800-word Harry Potter prequel, among others, up for auction
An 800-word prequel to the existing Harry Potter series is among one of the short literary works featured at an auction for charity on June 10.
The “What’s Your Story” auction, to be held in London, will feature stories by well-known authors, written on small handwritten cards. The cards, about postcard-sized, will be handwritten and signed by each author as well.
Authors joining JK Rowling in the roster are Margaret Atwood, Doris Lessing and Tom Stoppard, among others. Proceeds from the auction will go to support the English PEN and Dyslexia Action charities. The cards will also be available in book form in August.
